September 8 - Senator Bryan Hughes & Representative Cole Hefner

Representative Hefner and Senator Hughes will provide an update on the 89th Legislative Session and the first Special Session, followed by a question-and-answer period.

Before the lawmakers, Wood County Precinct Chair John van Compernolle will briefly present his 2025 Legislative Statistics report. This report is based on data gathered from approximately 11,500 bills downloaded from the Texas Legislature Online and the Republican Party of Texas.

During his presentation, John will explain how he summarizes these bill counts based on several factors: the commonality of the author, the last action taken on the bill, the priorities of the Republican Party of Texas, speaker identification, and committee assignments.
