It was great to see everyone, last Monday, for our July public meeting. I wish to personally thank you all for contacting your Representatives and Governor Abbott regarding the Governor’s response to COVID-19.
After Governor Abbott’s repeated calls, earlier this month, to wear masks or a lockdown is imminent, yesterday, Governor Abbott advised that there “[I]s no shutdown coming.”

Congratulations to the following for winning the July 14 Runoff Election: Michael Ashley, Upshur County Commissioner, Precinct 3 and David Thompson, Upshur County Constable, Precinct 4. (Swearing in is January 1, 2021.)
